Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a morning news anchor and crime reporter at WCBD-TV. When she was in Charleston O'Dell's reporting on the lenient police approach towards DUI cases resulted in the launch of a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that led to states authorities again releasing a more stringent directive regarding these situations. Ms. O'Dell received the Best Report of the Media Award in South Carolina by the Associated Press. Her work in Charleston has led to her serving as co-anchor and investigative reporter and anchor for NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Prior to she joined Access Hollywood she was a weekday co-anchor as well as the NBC weekend co-anchor. O'Dell is a leading anchor for Access Hollywood. In addition she is a contributor for NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She was a reporter for events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards.
